Blessing of the Animals
Pet Blessings!
10/4/20261:00 PM – 3:00 PM
St. John's Parking Lot
October 4 is the feast of St. Francis, patron saint of animals, the environment, and his native Italy, and we mark the occasion with a Blessing of the Animals.
Our furry, feathered, scaly, and otherwise attired friends and family will be blessed and prayed for collectively during our usual Sunday morning worship. Fr. Kevin has the lectionary forum and appointments afterward, but will be available for individual pet blessings in the front parking lot this Sunday from 1-3 PM.
If you can't make it Sunday, or just want an extra blessing, join us October 17 at Centreville Day, where your furry, feathered, scaly, and otherwise attired family member can compete in the pageant and, of course, receive our blessing - and a gift from St. John's.
